Osun 2026: Our Vote, Our Power, Our Future

By Comrade Samakin Abdul-Jeleel Abiodun

Osun State stands at a defining moment in its political journey. For the first time in our history, we have a rare opportunity to strengthen democracy by making a bold and conscious choice; one that reflects our political awareness, courage, and commitment to progress.

The Accord Party has never governed Osun State. Yet, this is not a limitation, it is an opportunity. An opportunity for the people of Osun to prove that democracy is not about routine, but about choice; not about pressure, but about conviction. We are a people who are enlightened, politically conscious, and unafraid to chart a new course when necessary.

As the 2026 governorship election approaches, one truth remains clear: the power belongs to the people. Osun voters are not ignorant, neither are they easily swayed. We are informed, we are observant, and we understand what good governance looks like. We have seen different administrations; AD, PDP, ACN, and APC; and we can boldly compare their records.

And when we compare, we must speak the truth.

The current administration, under the leadership of Governor Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke, has raised the bar of governance in Osun State. From visible development strides to people-oriented policies, the difference is clear. This is not the time to go backward, this is the time to consolidate progress.

Let it be known: the people of Osun cannot be forced, intimidated, or manipulated. Our votes are not for sale, and our voices cannot be silenced. We will decide our future freely, peacefully, and decisively.

In less than five months, we will once again head to the polls; not just to vote, but to shape the destiny of our state for the next four years. This election is more than a political exercise; it is a referendum on progress, continuity, and the future we desire.

Democracy thrives when citizens participate actively. It flourishes when the people choose leaders who are accountable, responsible, and committed to development. That is the essence of the moment before us.

Those who truly love Osun State, those who desire sustained growth, stability, and prosperity, must rise to the occasion. The continuation of good governance is not automatic—it requires deliberate action. It requires your vote.

Let us stand together. Let us speak with one voice. Let us protect the progress we have made.

By voting Accord in the 2026 governorship election, we are not just voting for a party; we are voting for democracy, for continuity, and for a greater Osun State.

Democracy thrives when citizens are free to support political parties that best represent their interests. I am determined to be part of those who will shape history by supporting and re-electing Governor Ademola Adeleke led administration, a government that has demonstrated capacity, competence, and a strong record of achievement.
