AMBO Camp Faces an Imploding APC Ahead of Elections

A socio-political group in Osun State, Osun Democrats for Democracy (ODD), has dismissed as desperate propaganda the statement credited to the Osun Central Elites Caucus alleging anxiety within the camp of Governor Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke.

What the statement reveals is not concern for Osun, but an elite clique that is out of ideas, out of touch with the people, and reduced to mischief as its party collapses internally.

ODD states unequivocally that the only camp battling fear, confusion, and visible anxiety ahead of the 2026 governorship election is the All Progressives Congress (APC) itself.

This fact was confirmed today by an APC member who publicly admitted that his party is not ready for the election, lamenting lukewarm commitment, internal apathy, and the real danger of conceding Bola Ige House back to Governor Ademola Adeleke without resistance. That confession alone shatters APC’s pretence of confidence.

The APC is presently in the throes of internal implosion. The party is fractured, factionalized, and paralysed by unresolved power struggles. Its continued failure to release or defend a coherent economic blueprint for Osun people exposes a party with no ideas, no unity, and no governing vision.

The frantic attempt to repackage AMBO as a “formidable alternative” cannot save a collapsing party structure that lacks grassroots strength and public trust. No individual branding can compensate for a party consumed by internal decay.

Claims that Governor Adeleke cannot articulate policy or govern effectively are reckless falsehoods. Osun people can see governance in action, revived local governments, massive road construction, improved workers’ welfare, expanded healthcare delivery, education support, and targeted social interventions. These are tangible outcomes, not 'elite soundbites'.

It is therefore ironic that APC, whose twelve-year rule left Osun with abandoned projects, decayed infrastructure, and elitist governance, now lectures the public on quality and accountability.

There is no anxiety in the Adeleke camp. What exists is panic within APC, driven by internal collapse, lack of vision, and the growing realization that Osun voters will not return to failure dressed up as competence.

ODD advises APC, and its allied groups to first confront their imploding party before issuing nugatory lectures to a performing government. Osun people are discerning, alert, and firmly committed to leadership that delivers.
