RE: GOVERNOR ADEMOLA ADELEKE’S ACCORD CANDIDACY AND THE FAILED ATTEMPT TO MANUFACTURE CRISIS IN OSUN

The Osun Accord Youth Rangers have observed, on air and on record, the deliberate attempts by opposition interests to manufacture confusion around the candidacy of His Excellency, Governor Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke, within the Accord Party. We state clearly and without hesitation that Governor Adeleke’s candidacy stands firmly on the will of the people of Osun State. No contrived party crisis, no opposition scheming, and no political distraction can derail the resolve of the people to stand with a people-friendly governor and return him in 2026.

1. THE PEOPLE’S WILL IS CLEAR

Governor Ademola Adeleke’s acceptance within the Accord Party is organic, popular, and people-driven. It reflects the collective decision of Osun people who have benefited from inclusive governance, visible projects, and people-centered leadership. This mandate cannot be overturned by noise or propaganda.

2. ACCORD HAS ONE LEGITIMATE NATIONAL LEADERSHIP

The Accord Party has a single, constitutionally recognized National Working Committee duly acknowledged by INEC. This legitimate leadership, led by the National Chairman, Barrister Maxwell Mgbudem, and the National Secretary, Honorable Adebukola Abiola Ajaja, is the same leadership that endorsed and backed Governor Ademola Adeleke. Any claim outside this structure is invalid, misleading, and politically dishonest.

3. THE SO-CALLED FACTIONAL PRIMARY IS A DISTRACTION

The drama paraded as a “governorship primary” by a self-styled faction is nothing more than a calculated attempt to distract the public. It lacks constitutional backing, legal standing, and party legitimacy. Osun people are too politically aware to be deceived by rented venues, rented voices, and manufactured outcomes.

4. THE APC FACTOR AND POLITICS OF PANIC

This development bears the familiar signature of Osun APC’s politics of sabotage. Having lost grassroots connection, public trust, and moral authority, they have resorted to confusion and infiltration because they cannot challenge Governor Adeleke’s performance, acceptance, and growing second-term momentum.

5. OSUN PEOPLE ARE POLITICALLY AWARE

The era of deceiving Osun citizens is over. The people know the difference between a legitimate mandate and a staged spectacle, between lawful party processes and political theatrics, and between governance that delivers and opposition that only complains.

6. OUR POSITION AS OSUN ACCORD YOUTH RANGERS

We categorically reject any fake or parallel Accord primary. We affirm Governor Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke as the legitimate, widely accepted, and duly supported candidate of the Accord Party. We call on political jobbers and their sponsors to stop insulting the intelligence of Osun people and to abandon their failed distractions.

7. CONCLUSION

When opposition forces begin to create imaginary rivals and counterfeit processes, it is a clear sign of panic and impending defeat. No fake primary can rewrite reality. No faction can fracture the people’s mandate. Osun is moving forward, the people are standing firm, and history will remain focused.
